Silicon Valley General Counsel, P.C. was founded and is run by Marc Pappalardo. Marc is a California licensed attorney who resides in the Bay Area. Marc Pappalardo has created the legal and privacy departments as the head of legal and privacy at 3 startups. As a General Counsel, Marc has handled privacy, contracts, HR and other legal matters for offices and subsidiaries located in over a dozen countries. He has a broad range of in-house experience, including working at LinkedIn, Electronic Arts, an IoT company, a cybersecurity company, and other tech companies. Marc was also a litigator at Greenberg Traurig. Marc Pappalardo is admitted to practice law in California and Colorado.
My goal for my clients is to help them to handle their legal needs in a cost effective manner and to act as stop gap measure until they have critical mass to hire an in-house counsel or additional counsel to handle all of their needs. With many companies, I like to help my clients prepare for the possibility of future acquisition/IPO years down the road by identifying and alleviating issues that could serve as potential roadblocks or justification for compensation holdbacks. I have worked at two companies that were acquired for significant sums, and I have been on the other side of the table representing the acquirer. I think of myself as a business person who knows the law versus lawyer who works for businesses because all risks should not be eliminated. Business is about taking risks as long as they are understood as much as possible.
